Special Achievement Award Winners
Ms. Bonnie M. Thomas was the mother of the team owner Byron Dugger Sr. When I formed the Soxxx family my mother was always pushing the Soxxx players to do more with their lives. She would constantly encourage them to not be afraid to make a change and chase after the things they really wanted. My mother passed away on December 7, 2015, and we decided to honor her by making a new award with her name on it. My mother was a fabulous woman that always taught me to try to make a difference in the lives of the people that I cross paths with. The exceptional people listed below are carrying on my mother's legacy.
Rest in Heaven Mom, you will never be forgotten.
Soxxx Family Members are Doing Great Things
Judee Dugger
Judee Dugger, the team co-owner of Soxxx, wanted to work as a radiologist since she as younger. She started in Nursing but realized that it wasn't what she truly wanted. Judee encouraged the members of the Soxxx family to reach for their goals. Judee led by example by enrolling in Central Texas College and earned an Associate Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Judee is currently enrolled in McLennan Community College to complete her Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology.

Delia Tores
Our sister Delia completed her A.I.T. training from the U.S. Army A Company 232nd Medical battalion, Class 50-19, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Delia was named Soldier of the Cycle for being the top individual soldier in her class. She also earned the Iron Medic title for having the highest Physical Fitness score in her class.

Cody Spence
Our brother Cody Spence wanted to become a teacher so he could work in the field he loves next to his wonderful wife Kendra. Cody went back and earned his teaching certification and became the 7th Grade football coach at Union Grove Middle School. He led a young group to the city title game but lost to Smith middle school. You year later he led the 8th-grade team to an undefeated season and a championship rematch with Smith. This time he led his team to the Championship.

Pricilla N. Natal
Mrs. Priscilla N. Natal was nominated by her mother, Soxxx softball player Ms. Tracy Garcia. Priscilla made some mistakes early in her life and had to suffer the consequences of her choices. Soon afterward she decided she wanted a better life for herself. She started making better choices in all aspects of her life and soon saw her life change for the better. She worked hard to advance in her career. She is now the Store Manager of a large beauty supply store and is a role model for the women that work for her. Great job sister!
Micah Anakalea
Micah Anakalea attended the long term planning class offered by the Soxxx family. Micah set himself some very difficult goals to meet in 2019. Michah worked hard to lose weight, get a good job that he would enjoy, enroll in college, increase his credit score by 150 points and buy a house for his family. Over the next year, Micah checked each goal off his list. Micah complete his last two items on his list before he passed away in October. He enrolled in Central Texas College for the Fall 2019 semester and bought his first house for his family. Rest In Peace our brother.
Joann Robinson
Our sister Joann Robinson has dedicated herself to ensure the elderly people in our community are well taken care of. Joann was the personal aide to the woman that this award is named after, The coach's mother, Ms. Bonnie M. Thomas. Joann went back to school and earned her Physical Therapy Aide Career Diploma from Ashworth College.

Joshua Green
Our Brother Joshua Green has been working hard to achieve his dream to become a firefighter. Joshua worked very hard to prepare for his chance. When he finally got it, he didn't waste time. Joshua worked on his physical and mental abilities and soon earned his EMT and firefighter certificates. Joshua graduated from the six-month Killeen Fire Fighter Academy. Joshua is a strong young man with an unwavering dedication to his family. We look forward to watching him grow!

Ricky Stroud
Our brother Ricky Stroud was a police officer with the city of Killeen when he joined the Soxxx family. After talking with Ricky, we soon found out that he had much bigger dreams, he wanted to become a state trooper. Ricky worked hard to get in both mental and physical shape and graduated from the Texas Department of Public Saftey, 165th Trooper Training Class. Ricky is now living his dream of protecting the State highways! We are so proud of his hard work and dedication.

Maddie Nunez
Our sister Maddie Nunez had aspirations to become a Nurse since she was young. Maddie took on the challenge and decided to go after her dream. Maddie worked day and night to keep her grades up. She was accepted into the nursing program and soon graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Central Texas College. Dreams can come true!

Franchiska Green
Our Sister Franchiska Green has been working very hard to fulfill her dream of becoming a dental assistant. She has spent many long nights studying with the hope of fulfilling her dream. With the support of her husband Joshua, she endured and Graduated from the Autin Dental Assistant School. She is now enjoying going to work each day and living the dream that she worked so hard for. Franchiska is an excellent wife, mother, sister and role model, she is an example of what hard work will get you!
Julia Burns
Mrs. Julia Burns was nominated by the team owner Mrs. Judee Dugger. Mrs. Julia Burns graduated from Capella University in December of 2019 with a Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology and Sex Therapy. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) and is on par to becoming a midwife. She is also a massage therapist and runs her own personalization/crafting business and is a happy mother of four.
